CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A trip to Italy, a suite for a Carolina Panthers game and a private concert are among the items up for bid at the annual Spoleto Festival USA auction.
The auction for the 38th festival is being held Friday evening at the Memminger Auditorium, one of the festival’s Charleston venues.
The auction features a performance by the Charleston Latin-Jazz Collective and jazz percussionist Gino Castillo. In addition to a live auction, the internationally known arts festival is holding an online auction through Feb. 9.
The auction proceeds support the Spoleto Festival USA Orchestra.
This year’s Spoleto Festival USA takes place from May 23 through June 8.
