TYLERTOWN, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi Highway Patrol says 62-year-old Florence man was killed in a one-car accident in Walthall County.
Troopers say the accident happened around 3:50 p.m. Thursday on Mississippi 48 one half mile east of Kirklin Rd.
They say James B. Simonton was westbound when his car hit a patch of ice and ran off the left side of the roadway and rolled over ejecting the driver.
Troopers say Simonton was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
