TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - A driver has been charged with murder in the shooting death of 40-year-old man on Interstate 59 in Tuscaloosa.
Police Sgt. Dale Phillips said the shooting happened Thursday. Witnesses reported that two men revved their engines in what appeared to be a race. It ended in a crash.
Authorities said 37-year-old Roderick Washington Jr. got out of his car and fatally shot Frederick Blakely. WBMA-TV (https://bit.ly/1fiU7Uv ) reports that police still do not have a motive for the shooting.
Washington was ordered held in jail without bond. It was unclear whether he had a defense attorney.
