SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) - A man accused of stealing keepsake items from memorial niches at Spokane-area cemeteries has been arrested.

Spokane County sheriff’s Deputy Craig Chamberlin says Spokane Valley police have been investigating thefts in that city and the county.

On Thursday, a Fairmount Memorial Park employee called police to say a suspicious man had been spotted in that Spokane cemetery. Police responded and made an arrest.



Richard D. Hall was booked into jail for investigation of two counts of second-degree burglary and two counts of an offense regarding protection of cemeteries.
