COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) - Firefighters say a fire that broke out at a mobile home Thursday afternoon destroyed the residence but no one was injured.

Investigators tell WCBI-TV (https://bit.ly/1cDIHfH ) that the fire was reported about 5:45 p.m. at the mobile home on Mike Parra Road in Lowndes County.

Firefighters from Lowndes District 2 and Columbus Air Force Base fought the fire, but it destroyed the home.



Firefighters say the family living there escaped unharmed.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
