PHOENIX (AP) - A large contingent of police officers will be patrolling freeways in the Phoenix area on Super Bowl Sunday to seek out drunken drivers.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says its stepped-up drunken driving enforcement will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday and will continue through Monday morning.

The agency wants the presence of officers on freeways to serve as a deterrent to would-be drunken drivers.
