VIENNA, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in southern Illinois’ Johnson County are investigating the death of a 79-year-old man whose body was found in a well near his rural home.
Johnson County investigators say a sheriff’s deputy checking on James Test’s well-being Thursday afternoon found the man’s body on the property near Vienna.
Coroner David Rockwell says there’s no immediate indication of foul play, and an autopsy was pending.
Illinois State Police are assisting in the investigation.
