SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A specially trained dog is helping South Dakota investigators figure out if fires are intentionally set.
KSFY-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1fnYbox ) Maggie the fire dog goes through one hour of training every day so she can sniff out chemicals used to start a fire.
Chris Konrad is Maggie’s handler and an agent with the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and says she can do in 10 to 15 minutes what would take investigators a lot longer.
The DCI got Maggie from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
