HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A Hartford woman has died from burns suffered in a fire that also killed her 4-year-old daughter.
Hartford fire officials say 43-year-old Susan Therrien died Wednesday night.
Her daughter, Shantay Drake, died of smoke inhalation in the fire Tuesday at a multifamily home. Another child injured in the blaze was treated and released from a hospital.
Therrien suffered burns to her face, arm and back and had been receiving treatment at Bridgeport Hospital’s burn unit.
A candlelight vigil for the family is planned for Thursday evening near a Hartford school playground.
The fire’s cause is still under investigation.
