FRISCO, Texas (AP) - A Dallas-area woman has been detained after her 10-year-old son was found dead in the family’s home.
Frisco police on Thursday announced the investigation into the death of the boy, whose name wasn’t immediately released. Police say no charges were immediately filed against the woman taken into custody Wednesday night at the scene.
Police went to the home after being contacted to check about the welfare of the boy. Frisco police did not immediately say who inquired about the child. No cause of death was immediately released.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the death.
