PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Two teenagers are in custody and a third teen is being sought in connection with the beating of a Philadelphia middle-school student that was recorded and posted online.

Police said an eighth-grade boy was walking home Tuesday afternoon from his school in northeast Philadelphia when three teens approached him. The 14-year-old victim told police that two teens beat him and the third recorded the attack on a cellphone.

Investigators said the suspects uploaded the video on Facebook and a concerned parent saw it and contacted authorities.

The teens arrested are a high-school student who allegedly beat the victim and a 13-year-old middle schooler who allegedly recorded the attack.

Both teens are charged with simple assault and conspiracy. Police have not released their names because they are juveniles.
