PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Some schools in Rhode Island are opening late because of a light snowfall that is making roads slippery during the morning commute.
Schools are opening an hour late Wednesday morning in Westerly, Block Island and the Chariho Regional School District serving Charlestown, Richmond and Hopkinton.
The National Weather Service is forecasting less than an inch of snow in Rhode Island, but is warning of hazard driving conditions and low visibility.
T.F. Green Airport in Warwick is reporting one canceled arriving flight - the 11:25 a.m. Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta. There also is one departing flight delay - the U.S. Airways 10:10 a.m. flight to Charlotte, N.C., is now set to leave at 11:01 a.m.
