JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Sarah Palin’s political action committee spent nearly as much as it brought in during the last half of 2013, ending the year with $1.1 million on hand.

SarahPAC, in a fundraising report submitted to the Federal Election Commission, showed it brought in about $717,000 between July 1 and Dec. 31. That includes about $695,000 in contributions and the rest for things like refunds and reimbursements.

Spending totaled nearly $714,000, including consulting, mailing and travel costs and $5,000 toward the unsuccessful U.S. Senate run of Steven Lonegan in a special election in New Jersey.
