CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (AP) - Casa Grande police say a 1-year-old boy is dead, apparently after being struck by his father’s truck outside the family home.
Police say the injured boy was found unresponsive after the boy’s mother called 911 Tuesday evening. The boy later was pronounced dead at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
According to police, their initial investigation indicates the boy was struck by his father’s truck when the father briefly left and returned to the home.
Police say they’re trying to determine why the child was outside and whether he was supervised.
There’s no immediate indication whether any charges will be filed and police say further information is not being released at this time.
