GATES, N.Y. (AP) - Police have released the name of the man whose body was found in a room at a suburban Rochester motel last weekend.
Officers in the Monroe County town of Gates say Wednesday that the man has been identified as 58-year-old James Shaw, whose last known address was in Rochester.
Officials say police were called to the Motel 6 on Buell Road around 11:30 p.m. Saturday for a report of a person not responding. When officers arrived, they found Shaw dead in one of the rooms.
Police are calling the circumstances surrounding his death suspicious.
Information on how Shaw died hasn’t been released, but police say their investigation is continuing.
