LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police are trying again to find witnesses to the fatal shooting of a motorist in a vehicle with his two young children in the back seat.

Homicide Sgt. Ray Steiber said Wednesday that investigators can’t say if the 5:20 p.m. Jan. 21 shooting on Tropicana Avenue near Rainbow Boulevard stemmed from a road-rage confrontation.

Investigators say 26-year-old Cleottus Harvey was shot several times in the chest as he sat in traffic in a white four-door Buick.

The assailant drove away in a dark compact car while the Buick rolled into the intersection, collided with two other vehicles and ran up on a sidewalk.

The two children in Harvey’s car - ages 4 and 2 - weren’t hurt.

Police said people in the other vehicles weren’t seriously injured.
