GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A western Michigan pavilion that for years served as a gathering place for church groups, fundraisers and family reunions has collapsed under the weight of snow.
No injuries were reported following the Monday collapse in Grand Rapids.
The Grand Rapids Press reports (https://bit.ly/1jI6vTy ) that the Christian Reformed Recreation Center hasn’t yet assessed potential damage to the pavilion’s kitchen, bathrooms and picnic tables.
The 40-year-old pavilion seated 400 people. Executive Director Al Vander Hart wants the public to weigh in on how to best rebuild.
