Man accused of DUI, crashing into a church

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Police have charged a 30-year-old Gulfport man with DUI after his vehicle hit a church.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1fcau6J ) Howard Durr was arrested by the Gulfport Police around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday when officers responded to a crash near Kelly Avenue and 19th Street.

Police say Durr was northbound on Kelly Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the building.

Durr was released on a summons to appear in court.

It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
