H&M plans store near University of Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Fashion retailer H&M plans to open a store in Eugene.

It’s the Sweden-based chain’s sixth store in Oregon, but first outside the Portland area.

The Register-Guard reports (https://is.gd/zTkRqg) the 20,000-square-foot store will open this fall at the Valley River Center, which is near the University of Oregon.

Valley River property manager Rob McOmie says the store is expected to employ 20 to 30 people.
