COBDEN, Ill. (AP) - A southern Illinois coroner says a 41-year-old man whose body was found in a Cobden alley died after he fell while walking and asphyxiated.

Union County Coroner Phil Hileman tells WSIL-TV (https://bit.ly/1fdcYSa ) that an autopsy has confirmed Jason Caraker’s death was a “tragic accident.”

Caraker’s body was found Monday morning.



Services for Caraker will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.

Cobden is about 14 miles south of Carbondale.
