CHICAGO (AP) - It is out into the cold for about 400,000 Chicago Public School students.

Classes resume Wednesday for students of the nation’s third-largest school district, which was closed down the past two days because of sub-zero temperatures.

The district called off classes saying it was “dangerous for children and families getting to and from school.”

The National Weather Service forecast that temperatures, which stayed in the single digits or lower Monday and Tuesday, are expected to rise to the upper teens Wednesday.
