FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - The LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma has released the name of a man found dead in a pond near Talihina.
The Southwest Times Record in Fort Smith reports (https://bit.ly/1ln0Vrx) that authorities identified the body as that of 19-year-old Joshua Teves of Talihina.
LeFlore County Sheriff Rob Seale says a bus driver found the body Monday afternoon and alerted police. Seale says the sheriff’s office is investigating the death as a possible homicide.
Teve’s family members had reported him missing about five days before his body was found.
The body has been sent to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause and date of death.
