CINCINNATI (AP) - A southwest Ohio woman who claimed she was raped by a cab driver is suing a police officer who she said treated her like a criminal and arrested her.

The woman’s lawsuit claims Cincinnati Officer Adrienne Brown took her to jail instead of a hospital after she claimed she was raped after a night of partying downtown on Jan. 19.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Julian Johnson concedes the officer didn’t do enough to help the 44-year-old woman, The Cincinnati Enquirer (https://cin.ci/1jIniWw ) reports.

The officer charged her with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct while intoxicated. A report said the woman became aggressive when the officer removed her from the cruiser at a hospital and refused to give her name. She was then taken to jail.
