WEST ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A West St. Paul man is charged with 21 counts in what prosecutors say was an alcohol-fueled joyride that turned deadly.

Twenty-one-year-old Robert Espinoza-Blaeser was among seven passengers in the SUV driven by Jon Devereaux (DEV’-er-oh) when it rolled and crashed last November in West St. Paul. Espinoza-Blaeser was among those thrown from the vehicle and lost his life.

A criminal complaint says Devereaux initially told police he didn’t remember driving, but later admitted to being behind the wheel. The St. Paul Pioneer Press (https://bit.ly/1egH5sw ) says the 22-year-old driver is charged in Dakota County with felony vehicular homicide and 20 other counts, including leaving the scene of the crash.
