TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Pima County authorities say nearly 120 marijuana plants have been seized after a pot-growing operation was discovered at a Tucson home in a gated community.
Sheriff’s detectives were serving two felony arrest warrants Tuesday night at the house when they reported seeing marijuana being grown on the property.
They say arrest warrants were served on 26-year-old Zachary Morales and 24-year-old Jennifer Parcelluzzi.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the property and found 117 marijuana plants and numerous bags of harvested marijuana.
In addition to the drugs, detectives seized several guns, two vehicles and a few thousand dollars in cash.
Authorities say Morales and Parcelluzzi also are being held on suspicion of child abuse. They say a 2-week-old child was found in the house and allegedly was exposed to the drugs.
