SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Firefighters in Spokane responded late Monday night to a two-alarm fire at an apartment building.
KHQ-TV reports (https://is.gd/8iO334 ) that two people were taken to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
Fire Chief Bobby Williams says the blaze started in a second-floor unit at the Center Court Apartments. Witnesses tell KHQ they heard a loud explosion shortly before the fire began. Williams was not immediately able to confirm that.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
