RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A Rapid City man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for kidnapping and raping a teenage girl.

Twenty-seven-year-old Lamont Hamilton was convicted earlier of giving a 17-year-old girl alcohol in April 2012, taking her to a motel room and forcing the intoxicated girl to have sex after taking her cellphone.

Hamilton was sentenced on Monday to 15 years in prison for kidnapping and 25 years for rape. He must serve at least 20 years behind bars before being eligible for parole.
