Portion of I-49 reopened

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has reopened a portion of Interstate 49.

Northbound I-49, between Louisiana Highway 29 and Louisiana Highway 106, is now open to traffic.

Earlier, the state closed the highway in St. Landry, Evangeline and Avoyelles parishes due to freezing weather conditions.
