NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - Police say a standoff at a motel in Nashua, N.H., has ended peacefully with a man arrested.
Police say it started at about 10 p.m. Monday when they got a call about a man kidnapping his ex-girlfriend in Manchester and taking her to a Motel 6 in Nashua.
Guests were evacuated from the motel. The man surrendered to police at about 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Police identified him as 22-year-old Stanislav Osherov of Newton, Mass. He’s been charged with domestic violence and kidnapping.
They said a crisis intervention unit communicated with him for hours, successfully negotiating for the woman’s release as well as for him to surrender.
Osherov was being held on $500,000 bail pending his arraignment on Wednesday.
