ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - A July 15 trial date has been set for a man accused of firing at five police officers during a shootout at a Roseburg motel in 2012.

The News-Review (https://is.gd/NCXsoV ) reports 24-year-old Jonathan Lackey has been charged with attempted murder, attempted assault and other crimes.

A three-day trial was scheduled to begin this week, but defense attorney Daniel Bouck asked for and received a new date.
