BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development are announcing several road closures due to icy conditions.
Interstate 10, throughout the greater New Orleans area, has been closed. Motorists are being rerouted to U.S. 61 (Airline Highway). I-10’s Twin Spans Bridge, which links the north and south shores of Lake Pontchartrain also is closed. Alternate routes are U.S. 90 and U.S. 11.
Also closed in the New Orleans area are the Earhart Expressway and Interstate 610.
