CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - LexisNexis has sold its office building in Charlottesville for more than $9 million.
LexisNexis tells The Daily Progress (https://bit.ly/1e4fDQa ) that it plans to maintain operations in the Charlottesville area. Under the sale agreement, the information service company will lease a portion of the building from the new owner, 701 East Water Street LLC.
City records show LexisNexis’ parent company, Reed Elsevier Inc., sold the building for $9.3 million.
The four-story, 85,000-square-foot building was constructed in 1992.
LexisNexis says it continuously reviews its operations and other factors, needs and other factors.
The company employs about 175 workers and contractors at the Charlottesville site.
