FREMONT, Ohio (AP) - The State Highway Patrol says a northern Ohio driver who died in a December wrong-way crash that killed another motorist was drunk.
The patrol says 61-year-old Charles Starks of Fremont had a blood-alcohol level that was twice the legal limit.
Troopers say Starks was going the wrong way on State Route 20 in Fremont when his car struck a pickup truck driven by 57-year-old Evelyn Hunt of Fremont.
Hunt died in the Dec. 23 crash, and her 15-year-old grandson was hurt.
Hunt’s husband says his wife and grandson were out Christmas shopping when the crash occurred.
