OTSEGO, Mich. (AP) - Three ski resorts in southwestern Michigan are closed after snow and extreme cold made conditions hazardous in the area.
The Kalamazoo Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1k1eY1U ) Bittersweet Ski Resort, Timber Ridge and Swiss Valley Ski & Snowboard Area were shut down Tuesday.
In a statement on its website, Bittersweet Ski Resort in Allegan County said the cold was behind the decision to close. Swiss Valley Ski & Snowboard Area is located in Cass County, and it says an area ban on non-essential or non-emergency travel was behind the decision.
