AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - One person has been rescued from a second-floor balcony of a burning Central Texas apartment complex.
The Austin Fire Department says the fire broke out early Tuesday at the three-story complex.
Lt. Andre de la Reza says the person who was saved was about to jump when firefighters reached the individual.
Authorities are trying to determine what started the fire that damaged the 12-unit building. More than a dozen people have been displaced.
The fire was brought under control before dawn Tuesday.
