MENASHA, Wis. (AP) - A Wisconsin State Patrol trooper is recovering from serious injuries after he was pinned between his squad car and another vehicle along a slippery Winnebago County highway.

The patrol says the trooper was investigating a crash and standing near the back of his squad Sunday along Highway 41 near Menasha when a car spun out of control, struck him and pinned him against his cruiser. He was rushed to the hospital. The driver of the car wasn’t injured.

WLUK-TV (https://bit.ly/1jX3Rqv ) says the highway was closed for several hours while the crash was investigated.
