FAMINGTON, Utah (AP) - A former licensed social worker has pleaded guilty to forcible sex abuse in a case involving a 16-year-old patient.
The Standard-Examiner reports (https://bit.ly/1hEVhv9) that 36-year-old Scott Andrew Peterson took a plea deal Monday in a Farmington court.
A probable cause statement says Peterson had been the girl’s counselor for two years.
She reported a sexual relationship to a bishop for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, which notified Centerville police.
The newspaper says Peterson shut down a Centerville practice called Therapy on the Fly in August and surrendered his license in November.
Peterson will be sentenced March 10.
