ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - A school superintendent in St. Johnsbury, Vt., says contract talks between the district and teachers are moving slowly.

Superintendent Ranny Bledsoe says the conversations are respectful, but she thinks there’s a long way to go.

The Caledonian Record (https://bit.ly/19Xi3yW) is reporting that contracts for both teachers and para-educators in the community are being negotiated.

Contract talks are scheduled to be held every other week through March.

Bledsoe says officials hope to reach an agreement by spring.
