LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nearly 300 students are expected to attend the 16th annual Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics.

Students from 34 states as well as Puerto Rico and Mexico will be in attendance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The three-day conference begins Friday.

Students will get a chance to discuss their research and to meet other women who share their interest in mathematical sciences. Participants also will have an opportunity to learn about life in graduate school from the perspective of women who are graduate students.
