BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - The Yellowstone County Museum has a new director.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1aVP0Km) that Ben Nordlund took over at the beginning of the year after working as the museum’s collection manager.

He’s replacing Chad Weldon, who retired after six years as director.

The museum begins its 2014 season on Feb. 7 with an open house to celebrate a new exhibit by local artist Gordon McConnell.

Nordlund is a Billings native who attended the University of Montana and earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Montana State University Billings.
