PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Speed restrictions have been lifted on the Maine Turnpike, but a winter storm warning remains in effect until 4 a.m. Sunday in northern Maine.

The National Weather Service says that 1 to 2 inches per hour of snow is expected to fall in heavy in northern Maine and that visibility will fall to below a half mile at times.

It warns that some roads could become impassable.
