LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Women are invited to learn self-defense skills at a Beyond Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop in Lincoln.

The workshop is for beginners ages 16 and up. It will provide verbal, nonverbal and physical techniques for preventing assaults. There will be interactive training and situational examples.

The registration deadline is Feb. 10 for the Feb. 15 workshop. To download a registration form, go online at NebraskaBOW.com and then click on Outdoor Workshops. The workshop fee is $24.
