BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - New York advocates of school choice say they’ll meet with lawmakers in Albany as part of a slate of events being held around the country.
The meeting Tuesday is planned as part of National School Choice Week, which organizers say is held every January to highlight the need for effective education options for all children.
Members of the Education Choice Alliance of Western New York will be among those headed to Albany to meet with members of the state Legislature. The alliance encourages parents to choose high-performing schools for their children, whether they are public or private schools, charter schools or homeschooling.
