LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a Nebraska man died after a Union Pacific freight train struck his truck Sunday morning.

The accident happened in Belvidere in southeast Nebraska around 2:30 a.m. The town is about 45 miles south of York and just off of U.S. Highway 81.

Authorities say 24-year-old Bryant Mussman tried to cross the railroad tracks at a closed crossing before the accident happened.



Mussman was not wearing a seatbelt. The Ohiowa man was engaged to be married, and he is survived by a son, two brothers and his parents.
