CLOSTER, N.J. (AP) - Nine people suffered minor injuries when two cars and a commuter bus were involved in collision in northern New Jersey.
Closter police tell The Record (https://bit.ly/M1iq0e) the crash occurred around 8:10 a.m. Sunday, when the driver of a car apparently ran a stop sign. The car struck the bus, which then crashed into another car, and that vehicle and the bus then crashed into some trees.
Fourteen people were aboard the bus, including the driver, and they all had to be extricated through a side emergency door.
Police said five of the nine people hurt refused medical attention at the scene. The four others were taken to hospitals for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Authorities say the accident remains under investigation.
