NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) - Nevada traffic officials are warning motorists that a stretch of Interstate 15 will be closed twice overnight in coming days in North Las Vegas - once this weekend and once again next week.

The Nevada Department of Transportation says northbound and southbound lanes between Cheyenne Avenue and Craig Road will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday.

The road should reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.

Another closure is scheduled in the same area from 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.

N-Dot spokesman Damon Hodge says the closures are to allow for the installation of a pedestrian bridge spanning the freeway.

The contractor is Meadow Valley Construction.
