PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The mother of a 4-year-old boy who suffered a traumatic brain injury on New Year’s Eve has been charged with criminal mistreatment and reckless endangerment.

On Friday, police arrested 29-year-old Brandy L. Robertson, nearly three weeks after the arrest of her boyfriend, Michael S. Abo.

Doctors treated the child for a traumatic brain injury, as well as other injuries to his body, police said.

Abo faces two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment.

The Yamhill County District Attorney’s Office says Robertson will likely be arraigned on Monday.
