AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - An Augusta man has been indicted on charges of fatally stabbing his girlfriend in their apartment in November.
Thirty-eight-year-old Justin Pillsbury was indicted by a grand jury Friday and remains held without bail.
Pillsbury is charged with murder in connection with the Nov. 13 death of 24-year-old Jillian Jones. He was hospitalized with what authorities called self-inflicted stab wounds.
The Kennebec Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1boOEJ1) that Pillsbury told a friend that he caught Jones talking to another man on the phone and didn’t like that and blacked out, according to a police affidavit.
Pillsbury’s attorney, James Lawley, has said that it appeared that drugs and alcohol were involved.
