GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - A 39-year-old resident of the Great Falls Pre-Release Center who police say sexually assaulted a mentally disabled woman on a public bus has been charged with sexual intercourse without consent.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (https://gftrib.com/1aTsCRY) that Paul James Jones made his initial appearance in Cascade County District Court on Friday.

Authorities say a 20-year-old woman reported an assault on Jan. 17 and that police using video footage and photos determined Jones to be a suspect.

Police say they contacted Jones at the pre-release center and he admitted the assault to police and that he knew the victim had disabilities.
