MURRAY, Utah (AP) - Police say the body of an 85-year-old woman was found early Saturday morning in a Murray home that was on fire and they’re treating the case as a homicide.

Investigators say the discovery was made after a Utah Transit Authority police officer pulled over a car in a bus-loading zone and the male driver later drove off.

The car’s license plate number led police to a Murray home, which officers found on fire. Firefighters then discovered the woman’s body inside the house.

Police declined to comment on the woman’s cause of death, but say her injuries weren’t from the fire. An autopsy will be performed by the Salt Lake City Medical Examiner’s Office.

Her name wasn’t immediately released.

Police are searching for the car driver for questioning.
